The President of Iceland's Medal of Honor (Heiðurspeningur forseta Íslands)
The President of Iceland's Medal of Honor was instituted in 1954. The Medal can be awarded to both Icelandic and foreign citizens for services to the president of Iceland.
The obverse features Ingólfr Arnarson, the first settler in Iceland, next to a dragonhead stern from a Viking ship, as well as the text “Heiðurspeningur forseta Íslands”.
The reverse features the Icelandic coat of arms.
The medal is made from silver and has a dark blue ribbon.
